chapter 1: escapeThe pair crouched in the bushes, barely daring to breathe. Their backs were to the ten foot tall chain link fence, the only thing between them and freedom from a living Hell. The boy had his arms wrapped around the girl, and the two stared wide eyes through a small hole in the bush, waiting for the guard to walk around the large brick building. It seemed like an eternity before he finally rounded the corner. Lets go. The boy said to his companion when the guard was gone. She simply nodded and they turned around and began climbing the fence. The girl went up first, her royal blue wings folded against her body. It would be faster if she simply flew them over the fence, but that would risk them being found out.
